Species and Breeds

The Species and Breeds page manages the taxonomic reference used when creating animals. Each species can contain multiple breeds.

Species list

Vetilog comes with 34 pre-configured species: Donkey, Axolotl, Cattle, Duck, Goat, Capybara, Cat, Horse, Dog, Chinchilla, Guinea Pig, Fennec, Ferret, Gecko, Gerbil, Hamster, Hedgehog, Iguana, Rabbit, Lizard, NAC, Bird, Sheep, Rat, Snake, Mouse, Tortoise, etc.

Note : Chaque espèce peut être développée pour afficher ses races. Les boutons MODIFIER et SUPPRIMER permettent de gérer chaque espèce.

Add a species

  1. Click "Add a new species"
  2. Enter the species name
  3. Validate — the species appears in the list

Edit / Delete a species

Click EDIT or DELETE next to the species. Deletion is not possible if animals are linked to that species.

Breed management

Each species can have multiple breeds. Click on a species to expand its breeds and manage them.

Add a breed

  1. Click on the parent species to expand it
  2. Click "Add a breed"
  3. Enter the breed name
  4. Validate
Tip : The "All" breed is automatically available for each species and allows vaccination plans to be applied to all breeds of a species.
