Prescriptions
The prescriptions module lets you write, validate and print drug prescriptions directly from a consultation or via direct access.
Prescription List
The list shows: Ref., Date, Animal, Owner, Prescriber, Status.
Prescription statuses
- Draft: prescription being written
- Validated: prescription finalized and ready to hand to the client
- Delivered: medications given to the owner
- Cancelled: prescription cancelled
Prescription card
The card contains: animal, owner, linked consultation, prescriber, date, status, notes, and the medication lines.
Medication lines
Each line includes: product, quantity, external (dispensed outside the clinic), dosage, number of days, instructions.
Create a Prescription
- From a consultation: click "Create a prescription" in the Acts/Billing section
- Or via Veterinary Practice → Prescriptions → New prescription
- Select the animal and the prescriber
- Add medications via "Predefined products/services" or "Free line"
- Enter dosage, duration and instructions for each medication
- Click "VALIDATE" to finalize
Tip:
A prescription created from a consultation is automatically linked to it, making it easier to track the animal's medical history.
Print a Prescription
From a validated prescription card, click "Print" or "Generate PDF" to produce the official document to hand to the client.
